This was supposed to be an angry picture-- it started off bright fuscia + dark blue -- but apparently I can't stay angry for very long. I have four different versions in different colors. Cathartic picture for me, potentially nothing to you. Please don't critique, please do take it to mean whatever you want it to mean, so long as it's a peaceful meaning. Angry pictures come from angry artists, and that's no good for anyone involved. Usually cathartic pictures don't work for me, but this one turned out pretty peaceful.

A gift for a friend. A peace offering, maybe. If you don't want it, then pretend it isn't there, and I apologize for caring as much as I do. I hope you're happy.

I've written things and drawn many a picture to get emotions off my chest. I know the feeling. I can almost hear the music echoing through some abandoned old theater maybe. This is really lovely :)

The atmosphere in this is phenomenal. I love the composition and MAN your ability to make things look like dimensional objects actually affected by light never ceases to impress me. I love the soft gradation of light on his back.

I'm really proud of this because it took me maybe an hour total to color. Probably the most rushed thing I've ever done. o__o This is just more proof that I should stop overthinking all the art I do. <3

Usually I get irritated at the whole "GRR I DREW THIS ANGSTY PICTURE BECAUSE I'M SAD. ENJOY IT OR FUCK YOU." thing that a lot of artists do, because I think it's pretentious, but when I think about it, I have posted more than a few angry/angsty pictures. o_o; MY BAD.

heh oh yeah I know what you mean. Catharsis happens but you do get the feeling when you start to see one after the other of " ANGST ANGST ANGST this is mah soooul broken on the bloody altar of your hate/love/indifference/cheese nachos blah blah " type pictures from an artist that it's less about any real pain and more about " pity meeee " And it does get tiresome. But this, again I must say I just love this. I think it's the simplicity and the understated symbolism that really does it.

I'd like to see the other color versions just out of curiosity, if you feel like posting them. or not. it's all good :)
